Programming Technique I

This course provided me with a comprehensive foundation in problem-solving techniques through a structured approach, combining both theoretical understanding and practical application. As part of the curriculum, I honed my programming skills using the C++ programming language to address a spectrum of problems, ranging from simple to moderate complexity. The exploration of topics such as preprocessor directives, constants and variables, data types, and control structures—including sequential, selection, and loop—deepened my understanding of fundamental programming concepts. Additionally, delving into built-in and user-defined functions, single and two-dimensional arrays, file operations, pointers, and structured data types enhanced my ability to develop efficient and robust solutions. This course not only enriched my programming proficiency but also equipped me with the essential tools to tackle diverse challenges in the world of computer science.

Technology and Information System

This course provided me with an insightful introduction to information systems and technology (IS/IT) and how they are utilised in everyday life and the workplace. I gained a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles underpinning IS/IT, exploring their applications in various industries and the dynamic ways in which they shape our digital landscape. Through hands-on experiences and practical examples, I developed a keen appreciation for the role of IS/IT in enhancing efficiency, facilitating communication, and driving innovation across diverse sectors.

Discrete Structure

This course provided me with a solid foundation in the principles and applications of discrete structures within the field of computer science. Delving into key topics such as set theory, proof techniques, relations, functions, recurrence relations, counting methods, graph theory, trees, and finite automata, I gained valuable insights into the fundamental building blocks of computational processes. The knowledge acquired has not only enhanced my problem-solving skills but also deepened my understanding of how discrete structures play a crucial role in algorithmic design, decision-making, and the broader landscape of computer science.

Digital Logic

This course provided me with a solid foundation in digital electronics, serving as the cornerstone for understanding microprocessor-based systems prevalent in computers, robots, automobiles, and industrial control systems. Offering a comprehensive overview of essential concepts, components, and tools, it equipped me with up-to-date knowledge of digital fundamentals—from foundational principles to programmable logic devices. Engaging in laboratory experiments provided invaluable hands-on experience, allowing me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Working with simulator software, actual devices, and circuits explored in the classroom enhanced my practical skills, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of digital electronics and its pivotal role in modern technological systems.
